  • How Often Should I Have The Wheel Bearings Packed On a 27 Foot Terry Trailer
  • Bearings and races last quite a while and we recommend repacking grease once a year. But other factors to consider is how many miles are put on your trailer and the conditions you are driving in. Every time you are repacking grease, it's a good idea to examine the races and bearings for discoloration from heat, dark spots on the races, cracks or nicks. If you happen to see any of those I would replace the bearings or races. Take a look at the video and the couple informative articles...

  • What Is The Purpose of the 3 Places A Wheel Steps Down From Outside Edge to Inside?
  • On the Steel Trailer Wheel # AM20006, I assume the 3 dimples you are referring to are the 3 places the wheel steps down in size. The outside largest diameter point is where the wheel is outside of the tire for a little protection of the sealing bead. The second step is where the tire bead rests and seals against the wheel to allow the air to stay pressurized without having an inner tube. The third step is down to the mounting flange to give strength and stability. Each tire will have...
